Integrity

Teaching Idea: Integrity

As we build on the STAR theme we are focusing on integrity this week.

A kid definition of integrity is this: Consistently doing the right thing even when nobody is looking.  In other words, if you only do the right thing because you know you will get caught then that is not integrity.  When you do the right thing simply because it's the right thing then you don't have to worry about who is looking and who isn't.

And if you are not sure of what the right thing is to do ask someone you trust and respect.

Building integrity is like putting money into a savings account.   You have to keep adding to it.  No one else can take your integrity but you. And it only takes one big mistake to lose it.

Having integrity is a valuable asset you can benefit from all your life.
